CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

The Children’s Ministry of First Church guides children through fifth grade to seek and love God and love and serve people. Our Children’s Ministry creates ways for children to know and accept the love of Christ. Can you help out in Children’s Ministry one week a month? We need volunteers to help assist in classrooms. For more information, visit the Children and Youth Ministry Volunteer page or contact Pastor Becky Postlewait, Director of Children's Ministries.

Weekly Opportunities

Sunday Mornings

9:00 am – 12:30 pm: Nursery Age Childcare
Childcare is available during all morning worship services at the end of the Children’s Ministry Wing hallway on the second floor. Childcare is coordinated by Pastor Becky Postlewait. All children in our care are not only loved and kept safe but are also participating in activities to nurture their spiritual growth.

9:30 am: Pre-K and Elementary Sunday School
Pre-school and elementary Sunday School begins at 9:30 am in the Kid’s Chapel (interior classroom) on the second floor. We sing and worship before children head to their groups for engaging activities in the Children’s Ministry wing of the building, right next door to the Contemporary Worship Service.

Thursday Mornings

10:30 am – NoonMommy and Me
Our goal is to encourage interaction and development for little ones 0 to 3 years old (siblings are welcome) while creating space for building friendships with other moms. Moms are welcome to nurse comfortably without judgment. We will support one another on the joys and challenges of motherhood. Visit our page.
